It also mentioned the arrest of an Afghan national, who entered the U.S. on a special immigrant visa in 2021 after the Afghanistan withdrawal, and was later charged with plotting a terrorist attack for Election Day.

At the rally, Trump played “Fighter,” a tribute song by Jon Kahn that has been featured at several of his events.

The song became an instant hit, reaching the #1 spot on iTunes across all charts within 24 hours of its release and garnering over 10 million views across social media platforms within three days.

He drew comparisons between today’s political landscape and the 1980 election, noting similarities in the issues, such as inflation and a sense of national decline.

Quaid praised Trump, calling him his favorite president of the 21st century, just as Ronald Reagan was his favorite president of the 20th century.

Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA) also addressed the rally, reflecting on the state of California.

U.S. Rep. Ken Calvert of California speaks in support of former President Donald Trump during a Trump campaign rally near Coachella, Calif., Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024.

He recalled how, during his parents’ time, the “California dream” was alive, with affordable housing, good jobs, and a manageable cost of living.

He contrasted that era with today’s California, which he described as a “nightmare” due to the policies of Harris and other Democrats.

Calvert cited the state’s high gas prices, expensive housing, and soaring homelessness rates as evidence of failed leadership.

Trump praised Calvert in a post on Truth Social, commending him for doing a “phenomenal job” representing California’s 41st Congressional District.

He highlighted Calvert’s experience as a small businessman and his efforts to fight inflation, grow the economy, and reduce government waste.

Trump also noted Calvert’s work on the powerful Appropriations Committee, where he focuses on securing the border, supporting the military and veterans, and protecting Second Amendment rights.
