NFL Hall Of Famer Brett Favre To Campaign With Trump Just Days Before Election [WATCH]

NFL Hall of Famer and former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will join [1] former President Donald Trump in Wisconsin for a rally just days before the upcoming election.

The Trump campaign announced that Favre will be a featured speaker at Trump’s event on Wednesday in Green Bay, scheduled to take place at the Resch Center.

Favre, a longtime figure in Green Bay sports, has been vocal in his support for Trump over the years.

The former Packers star publicly endorsed Trump during the 2020 presidential campaign and has been an advocate for his policies on freedom of speech, gun rights, and support for law enforcement and military personnel.

During that election cycle, Favre cited Trump’s stance on these issues, which he saw as critical amid a backdrop of social unrest following the death of George Floyd.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter) in 2020, Favre outlined his reasons for supporting Trump, writing, “My vote is for what makes this country great: freedom of speech and religion, the Second Amendment, hard-working tax-paying citizens, police and military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me and these principles, my vote is for [Donald Trump].”

In an interview last year, Favre further discussed his support for Trump, explaining that he believed the country was in a “better place” during Trump’s administration.

Speaking to Jason Whitlock on the Fearless podcast, he said, “I think our country was in better shape with him… I think Donald was a non-political president, and I liked that about him. Was he perfect? Absolutely not. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I’m flawed just like the rest of ’em. We’re all flawed. But I really felt like he had our country in a better place and really cared about our people in our country.”

Favre elaborated on his perspective, saying, “Black, White, Hispanic, Asian — you name it. I think if you were an American citizen, he cared about you, first and foremost. I don’t know if our current president has the same mentality.”

The rally at the Resch Center is part of Trump’s final push in Wisconsin ahead of Election Day.

Trump’s campaign has consistently targeted Wisconsin as a key battleground, with polls showing close competition in the state.

Favre’s endorsement and his presence at the event are expected to resonate with Wisconsin voters, particularly in Green Bay, where Favre’s long tenure with the Packers has cemented his popularity.

Favre’s support for Trump aligns him with other high-profile athletes who have taken public stances in recent election cycles.

His ongoing engagement in political events and his willingness to speak out on issues he believes in highlight a trend among sports figures who use their platforms to influence public discourse and support specific candidates or policies.

As the rally approaches, Favre’s appearance is expected to draw attention from both Trump supporters and Wisconsin residents who remember his years on the field.

The event is part of Trump’s broader effort to mobilize support in swing states and secure a strong turnout for his campaign in the days leading up to Election Day.
