Vice President Kamala Harris found herself in a bit of a hot seat during an interview [1]with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, where she made a striking comment about presidential responsibility.
Harris asserted that presidents and vice presidents must “take” responsibility “for what happened” during their time in office, a statement that didn’t go unnoticed, as reported by Breitbart[2].
The exchange came after Baier brought up a campaign ad in Pennsylvania that accused Harris of supporting “taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners.”
When Baier pressed Harris on whether she still backed the idea of using taxpayer dollars to help prisoners or illegal migrants transition genders, Harris deflected by saying she would “follow the law.” She pointed out that even former President Donald Trump followed the law during his administration.

However, Baier wasn’t done. He noted that Trump denied ever advocating for that particular policy and emphasized that no gender transition surgeries occurred under his watch.
Harris stuck to her point, reiterating that the buck stops with the administration in power. “You got to take responsibility for what happened in your administration,” she emphasized.

This statement drew swift reactions from conservatives, who called out Harris for failing to apply the same standard to her own administration’s mishaps.
Critics on social media highlighted the skyrocketing inflation, surges in illegal immigration, and rising violent crime that have marred the Biden-Harris years.

Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) added his voice to the chorus, mocking Harris for “admitting” responsibility for the administration’s economic failings, including 20% inflation, a drop in take-home pay, and two new wars. Owens further highlighted Harris’ complicity in allowing over 10 million illegal immigrants into the country and overseeing a 4.5% spike in violent crime.
