In a recent vice presidential debate, CBS News anchors Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan faced harsh criticism from political commentators for their apparent bias against Senator JD Vance (R-OH).

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social, expressing his discontent with the moderation. “Margaret Brennan just lied again about the ILLEGAL MIGRANTS let into our Country by Lyin’ Kamala Harris, and then she cut off JD’s mic to stop him from correcting her!” he stated.

As reported by Breitbart, observers noted that the moderators frequently interrupted Vance, while the same scrutiny did not seem to apply to his opponent, Governor Tim Walz (D). Critics argue that the questions posed to Vance were framed in a way that undermined his responses, reflecting a clear disparity in the treatment of the two candidates.

This perceived bias aligns with recent findings from the Media Research Center, which reported that CBS News provided a staggering 85 percent positive coverage to the Harris-Walz ticket from July 21 to September 27.

In stark contrast, the Trump-Vance ticket received a troubling 81 percent negative coverage during the same period. This discrepancy raises eyebrows and suggests a troubling pattern of media favoritism.

Many users on X (formerly Twitter) chimed in, condemning the debate moderators. Several commenters noted that the level of bias exhibited by CBS News was even more pronounced than what was observed during the ABC News presidential debate, where some Democrats openly acknowledged a bias favoring Vice President Kamala Harris.

The backlash against the moderators highlights a growing concern among conservatives about media integrity and the fairness of coverage in political discourse. With the public increasingly aware of the media’s role in shaping narratives, the question remains: can audiences trust major news outlets to present an unbiased view of political events?

As this debate continues, one thing is clear: the American public demands accountability from the media, and the implications of biased coverage are more critical than ever.
