Democrat Dilemma Report: Team Biden And Team Harris Infighting At The White House [WATCH]

An Axios report published Sunday reveals growing tension [1] and miscommunication between the White House and Kamala Harris’ campaign as she moves forward in her bid for the presidency.

Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris point at each other while flanked by Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff after greeting supporters during the Democratic National Convention at the Chase Center in Wilmington in 2020.

The report, by national political correspondent Alex Thompson, highlighted frustrations within both camps, particularly as former Joe Biden’s aides adjust to their new roles supporting Harris.

Thompson detailed the difficulties some of Biden’s senior aides face after the president was pushed out of the re-election race. “Many senior Biden aides remain wounded by the president being pushed out of his re-election bid and are still adjusting to being in a supporting role on the campaign trail,” the report states.

One Harris ally reportedly told Axios, “They’re too much in their feelings,” referring to the White House staff’s difficulty in transitioning to a supporting role.

A primary issue raised by members of the Harris campaign is the lack of coordination from the White House, specifically regarding Biden’s messaging and schedule, which they say doesn’t always align with what’s best for Harris’ campaign.

Recent conflicts cited in the report include an impromptu press conference held by Biden on Friday, at the same time Harris was attending a key event in Michigan.

Another incident occurred when Biden praised Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for his response to recent hurricanes, just after Harris criticized DeSantis for not returning her calls.

According to Thompson, Biden had not been briefed on Harris’ comments before making his remarks about DeSantis.

A Harris aide told Axios, “The White House is lacking someone in the room thinking first and foremost about how things would affect the campaign.”

Despite ongoing tensions, Thompson noted that most Biden aides are still actively supporting Harris in her run for the presidency, although the transition has not been smooth for all involved.

The report also described friction between White House staffers who have moved to the Harris campaign and those who remain loyal to Biden.

Some Biden aides have reportedly felt labeled as disloyal for considering the switch, further complicating relationships between the two camps.

Additionally, there have been disputes within the Harris campaign regarding which surrogates from Biden’s original team would remain as prominent faces on television.

In response to the Axios report, White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates issued a statement to Fox News, defending the administration’s support for Harris. “President Biden endorsed Vice President Harris immediately after leaving the race, rejecting other approaches that would divide the party, and has attested to her leadership abilities and continually made clear his support for her,” Bates said.

Bates emphasized that the administration has made efforts to ensure Harris has the resources she needs. “We have made significant changes to guarantee the Vice President’s team has all of the support and resources that they need. This builds on a strong, trusting relationship between both teams, which has been critical to successfully executing an unprecedented transition to a new candidate,” Bates added.

However, Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich reported Monday on Fox & Friends that frustration is growing within Biden’s circle over some of Harris’ actions.

Heinrich cited sources close to Biden who expressed frustration over Harris’ decision to publicly clash with Governor DeSantis, calling it a “dumb thing” and a situation of her own making.

According to these sources, Biden has been “bending over backwards” to provide Harris with opportunities to show leadership, but they feel she has fumbled in several key moments.
