Kaitlan Collins, a notorious figure at CNN, attempted to catch Donald Trump Jr. off guard with pointed questions after the recent Vice-Presidential debate in New York City.

The event showcased Senator J.D. Vance’s (R-OH) stellar performance against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D-MN), as reported by The Gateway Pundit. Vance dismantled Walz’s arguments amidst a backdrop of hostile moderation.

Following the debate, Trump Jr. entered the spin room where Collins began her line of questioning. She initially asked about his thoughts on the debate, to which Trump Jr. confidently asserted that Vance won on all counts, including sensitive topics often avoided by Republicans, like abortion and childcare.

Collins then posed a challenging question, asking if Vance was more adept at handling these issues than his father.

In response, Trump Jr. highlighted that his father faced a three-on-one setup during his own debates, notably with Kamala Harris, branding it “absolutely disgusting.”

Vance, exhibiting strength, quickly countered the CBS moderators’ attempts to replicate that scenario.

The conversation took a darker turn when Collins commended the “civility” of the Vice-Presidential debate and questioned why Trump Sr. could not emulate that approach. Trump Jr.’s response was fierce.

He pointed out that the media has contributed to the dangers surrounding his father. “The media has radicalized the people that are trying to kill my father,” Trump Jr. stated. “We’ve had to deal with that twice now for the last two months. I’ve had to have that conversation with my five young children twice in the last two months about someone trying to shoot their grandfather.”

He further articulated the severe impact of media narratives, referencing past assassination attempts on his father and calling out the media’s role in shaping a hostile environment. “You know that didn’t just magically happen. That’s a media-created thing,” he emphasized.

In a striking moment, Collins attempted to downplay media culpability, insisting, “You can’t blame the media.”

Trump Jr. countered effectively, asserting that comparing his father to historical tyrants like Adolf Hitler, perpetuated by the press, contributes to this violent atmosphere. “When someone allows people to have a platform to call someone literally Hitler every day for nine years, it creates it,” he declared.

As the discussion unfolded, Collins attempted to steer the narrative back towards civility in political discourse, yet Trump Jr. remained firm in his convictions, underscoring the dangers posed by radical media portrayals.

In a world where media narratives shape public perception, the encounter between Collins and Trump Jr. highlights the urgency for accountability and the pressing need to scrutinize the role of the press in the realm of political safety and discourse.
