The dismissed charges include conspiracy to commit filing false documents and conspiracy to commit forgery.
Specifically, one of the charges involved accusations that Trump and his associates attempted to submit a forged “Certificate of the Votes of the 2020 Electors from Georgia,” falsely asserting that Trump had won the state.
The other dismissed charge alleged that Trump and his co-defendants made false statements and filed misleading documents to persuade Georgia lawmakers to reject lawful votes.
“President Trump and his legal team in Georgia have prevailed once again,” said Trump attorney Steve Sadow in response to the ruling. He noted that the court had ruled to quash counts 15 and 17 in the indictment.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis had brought these charges as part of a broader case accusing Trump of trying to interfere with the 2020 election results in Georgia.
Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Earlier this year, Judge McAfee dismissed six additional charges, citing insufficient detail in the prosecution’s case.
The case has also faced complications following revelations of an improper relationship between Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who was later removed from the case.
Trump’s legal team is now pursuing a motion to disqualify Willis from the case entirely, with the Georgia Court of Appeals scheduled to hear arguments on December 5, after the 2024 presidential election.
Despite the dismissal of two counts, McAfee upheld the racketeering charge, which remains a key part of the case against Trump and his co-defendants.
Proceedings have been delayed while the state appeal court considers Trump’s request to remove Willis from the case.
