This marked a significant escalation in Israel’s ongoing military operations in Lebanon.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the death of Nasrallah, 64, along with several other Hezbollah leaders during a targeted strike on the group’s headquarters.
The airstrike, which occurred beneath Hezbollah’s main headquarters in Beirut, leveled six buildings, according to reports from the IDF.
In a statement posted on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the IDF declared, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

The operation also resulted in the deaths of Muhammad Ali Ismail, commander of Hezbollah’s missile unit in southern Lebanon, and his deputy, Hussein Ahmad Ismail, among other senior figures in the organization.

Nasrallah had been Hezbollah’s leader since 1992, following the death of the group’s co-founder, Abbas al-Musawi, who was also killed in an Israeli airstrike.
His death is seen as a significant victory for Israel in its ongoing conflict with Hezbollah, which intensified after Hamas launched a deadly attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Israeli officials stated that Nasrallah was a key figure in Iran’s “Axis of Resistance,” a coalition of regional forces hostile to Israel.
His removal from power is expected to weaken Hezbollah’s command structure and potentially disrupt its operations in the region.

Nasrallah’s role in coordinating Hezbollah’s military efforts, particularly its missile program, made him a prime target for Israel’s military.
The airstrike targeting Nasrallah followed an earlier Israeli attack that killed three senior Hezbollah commanders earlier in the week.
That assault reportedly claimed the lives of over 700 soldiers and civilians, further escalating tensions in the region.
The IDF issued a warning to Lebanese civilians following the airstrike, urging them to avoid areas being used by Hezbollah for military purposes. “Hezbollah has over 150,000 rockets, meant to kill Israeli civilians,” the IDF warned. “Some are strategically placed beneath civilian populations.”
The message highlighted the ongoing danger posed by Hezbollah’s vast stockpile of rockets, many of which are stored in civilian areas, making them difficult to target without risking collateral damage.
The situation in Lebanon further escalated on Saturday, with additional Israeli bombings in Beirut.
International leaders and organizations have expressed concern that the conflict could spiral into a broader regional war.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres voiced fears of an expanding conflict, warning that “war in Lebanon could lead to further escalation involving outside powers.”
In a speech at the United Nations on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a defiant message, accusing the UN of harboring “antisemitic bile” after several dignitaries walked out during his address.
Netanyahu also directed sharp warnings at Iran, which provides significant support to Hezbollah. “I have a message for the tyrants of Tehran: If you strike us, we will strike you,” Netanyahu said.
Following the airstrike, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called an emergency meeting of the nation’s Supreme National Security Council.
The meeting took place shortly before Israeli bombs were dropped on Beirut, further intensifying the conflict.
The death of Nasrallah leaves a significant power vacuum within Hezbollah, with no immediate word on who will succeed him as the group’s leader.
Nasrallah’s death is likely to have far-reaching implications for the organization, which has long been a major player in Lebanon’s political and military landscape.
The international community is now watching closely to see how Hezbollah will respond to the loss of its longtime leader and what the broader implications will be for stability in the Middle East.

It’s time Israel gets to play by the same rules of war as the rest of the world . . . the same ‘rules’ by which the muzzieScum have captured 57 formerly non-muzzieScum countries where they genocided the CIVILIZED population of those countries and turned them into shiiteHoles
The disgusting things Jews say…vile.
you’re actually offended by words when terrorists rape and kill innocents? Think of the atrocities of 10/7 and with honesty, reframe your disgust
They are very specific with what they censor here.
Why, ahh, are you so selective with your censorship?
May Israel completely destroy all its enemies (Muslim and political adversaries) who hate them without cause and claim entitlement to their land. Like in the days of Esther, may they be exposed and Jews destroy their enemies in all countries and every place where they spread anti-semitism, including the West. In destroying vicious Islam, the IDF is protecting the whole world.
Too bad idiots believe the “Israel” created by Ashkenazis in 1949 is somehow the same “Israel” created thousands of years ago IN THE NAME OF A PEOPLE.
Must be rough being a raghead terrorist these days. Can’t pick up ANY electronic devices without fear of blowing yourself up, can’t even walk around your rubble strewn street without fear of being eliminated and rumor is that the next surprise is exploding toilets!
Iran has been waging war against Israel for years. It’s time Israel struck back and put an end to the Iranian regime.
Violent, racist, vulgar, obscene, and discourteous pretty much describes the “gentlemen” Israel just dispatched doesn’t it?
Look like Israel getting the job done. You think he’s going to get 72 virgins?
