Political commentator Tim Pool has filed a lawsuit against Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, accusing them of defamation and interference with his business. The lawsuit stems from a statement made by Harris’s campaign that allegedly damaged Pool’s reputation, falsely linking him to Russian propaganda, as reported by Trending Politics News [1].
Pool, a prominent conservative voice, revealed the lawsuit on his podcast, “Timcast IRL,” where he discussed the reasons behind his decision to take legal action. According to the lawsuit filed in West Virginia, Pool asserts that Harris’s campaign published a defamatory statement accusing him of pushing pro-Russian narratives, a claim that Pool denies vehemently.

In his legal filing, Pool argues that the Harris campaign’s statement not only harmed his reputation but also negatively impacted his media business. “Mr. Pool was damaged by the Harris Campaign’s bad faith misconduct previously described herein in addition to his expenditures for the prosecution of this action, which is necessary to clear Mr. Pool’s name and restore his reputation,” the lawsuit states.
The lawsuit comes in the wake of broader accusations against conservative media figures, including Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson, suggesting they were part of a disinformation campaign tied to Russian interests. These claims, pushed by the Biden administration, allege that Moscow is attempting to sway upcoming U.S. elections by using American influencers. Both Pool and his fellow commentators have forcefully denied these accusations, claiming that they are being unfairly targeted.
