In a rare moment, First Lady Jill Biden played a significant role in Friday’s White House cabinet meeting—the first in almost a year. At 81, President Joe Biden was joined by his wife as she reportedly took part in the meeting for the first time.

This session comes as Biden approaches the end of his presidency, following his unexpected withdrawal from the race after a poor debate performance against former President Donald Trump, as reported by Breitbart [1].

The debate saw Biden slurring his words and struggling to articulate his positions, leaving many Republicans asking who is really running the country.

Jill Biden’s involvement has sparked renewed speculation regarding her influence on her husband’s decisions, particularly after rumors swirled that she didn’t want him to drop out of the race.

Some sources have suggested that Jill’s concern stemmed from the unresolved legal issues surrounding their son, Hunter Biden. A federal judge set Hunter’s sentencing for tax-related charges to take place before President Biden leaves office in January. This timing has fueled Republican suspicions that Joe Biden could either pardon his son or commute his sentence before stepping down.

The president, notably reading from a script, briefly addressed the meeting, calling for Congress to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government. “It’s critical,” Biden said, as he pushed for continued support to implement the administration’s “historic” legislative achievements. “We need to continue to implement the historic laws we passed,” Biden added, pointing to infrastructure investments and other key initiatives.
