Senator JD Vance (R-OH) did not hold back when he took aim at former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) after she publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a candid conversation with Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, Vance laid out his critique of Cheney’s career and her alignment with Harris, drawing a clear line between them and the struggles of everyday Americans, as reported by Breitbart.

According to Vance, both Cheney and Harris have built careers on policies that harm American families while benefiting themselves financially.

Speaking at an event in Arizona, Vance told Kirk, “This is a person whose entire career has been about sending other people’s children to fight and die for her military conflicts.”

Vance went on to accuse Cheney and Harris of profiting from America’s military failures, saying, “They get rich when America loses wars instead of winning wars.”

Kirk echoed these sentiments, pointing out the strange alliance forming around Harris in Washington.  “It’s so interesting, is it, that every failed warmonger in the established D.C. — let’s just say machine — is behind Kamala Harris. That the peacemakers are behind Trump and Vance. Blessed are the peacemakers is what the Scriptures say.”

Vance agreed with the biblical allusion, responding, “You are right, blessed are the peacemakers. Kamala Harris and Liz Cheney make very, very interesting partners. They get rich when America’s sons and daughters go off to die. They get rich when America gets weaker. We want American strength, American security, and most importantly, peace. Donald Trump is the candidate to deliver that.”

Vance continued, offering a scathing critique of Cheney’s foreign policy record. “Maybe the best thing about Donald Trump’s next presidency is that he’ll ensure people like Liz Cheney are laughed out of the Oval Office,” Vance said.

“This is a person whose entire career has been about sending other people’s children off to fight and die for her military conflicts and her ridiculous ideas that somehow we’re going to turn Afghanistan, a country that doesn’t even have running water in a lot of places, into a thriving literal Democracy. And, for that, Liz Cheney was willing to kill thousands of your children. Liz Cheney, you know what, I think it’s the best thing in the world if she’s supporting Kamala Harris.”

Cheney, known for her strong opposition to Trump, recently announced her support for Harris in the upcoming election, citing her belief that Trump is a “danger” to the nation.

Cheney’s disdain for Trump has been no secret, especially since she accused him of inciting the January 6 Capitol riot.

Vance’s remarks reflect the growing division between establishment politicians like Cheney and the populist, pro-America stance championed by figures like Trump and Vance.
