After the Trump-Harris debate, Ohio Senator JD Vance appeared on various media outlets, where he strongly criticized Kamala Harris’s performance, defended his controversial statements about immigration, and condemned corporations using Chinese slave labor while benefiting from the American market.
During a post-debate appearance on ABC News, Vance responded to anchor Jon Karl’s question about Donald Trump's harsh characterization of Harris, describing her as lacking mental capacity and intelligence.
Vance argued that Harris’s rhetoric was filled with empty platitudes, and she failed to deliver tangible results during her time as vice president.

"John, what I saw was a lot of slogans. I think the American people are smart, and Kamala Harris talks to them like their children. She repeats these ridiculous platitudes, where, if you actually think about what she said, you realize that it doesn't make any sense," Vance said. He went on to point out that Harris often talks about plans but fails to provide real solutions. "She has been the vice president for three and a half years. What she can't do, refuses to do, and has no ability to do, is to say, I accomplished lower prices because she didn't, or I accomplished lower housing prices because she didn't, or I secured the southern border because she didn't do that," he added.
Vance concluded his critique by questioning whether the American people should promote Harris, answering emphatically, "I think the answer has to be no."
In a separate appearance on CNN, Vance defended his earlier claims about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, abducting pets and consuming them—an assertion that has been widely criticized.
Kaitlan Collins pressed Vance on the issue, noting that local officials had refuted the claim and asked why he continued to spread it.

Vance responded by stating that while officials have not confirmed the reports, they also haven't disproved them.
"Well, first of all, city officials have not said it's not true. They said they don't have all the evidence. We've heard from a number of constituents on the ground, Kaitlin, who both firsthand and secondhand reports say this stuff is happening," Vance explained.
He stressed that local residents were reporting strange and concerning events, including the abduction of pets and wildlife. "This town has been ravaged by 20,000 migrants coming in. Healthcare costs are up. Housing costs are up. Communicable diseases like HIV and TB have skyrocketed in this small Ohio town. This is what Kamala Harris's border policies have done," Vance said, pointing to the broader issues created by illegal immigration under the current administration.
He also criticized the media for not addressing these problems until they became a viral meme. "The media didn’t care about the carnage wrought by these policies until we turned it into a meme about cats," Vance remarked.
On CNBC, Vance shifted his focus to corporate America, particularly targeting Apple’s use of Chinese slave labor.
When asked about his views on the tech giant, Vance didn't hesitate to call out their unethical practices.
"Do I think Apple is an evil company? No. Do I think that sometimes they benefit from Chinese slave labor? Yeah, and that's pretty sick," he said. Vance emphasized that companies like Apple, which benefit from American markets, should ensure they are paying fair wages to American workers. "A company that wants to benefit from American markets should also have to pay American workers a fair wage," Vance concluded.
Vance’s fiery media appearances following the Trump-Harris debate underscore his continued focus on immigration, economic issues, and corporate accountability as central themes in his political messaging.
