In a heartfelt recounting on The Sage Steele Show, Lynne Patton, a former Trump administration official, shared a deeply personal story about her battle with cocaine addiction and the life-changing intervention led by Eric Trump and his family.

The pivotal moment occurred when Eric Trump, in a private office meeting, directly confronted Patton about her substance use, marking the start of a transformative journey in her life.

"Eric Trump calls me in his office, and he said, close the door. And I was like, Okay, who are we talking about? You know, getting ready to talk about. And he is very serious, and he looks at me and he says, you know, Lynn, we know what you're doing, and you're better than this," Patton recounted.

Despite her initial denial and the flood of emotions that followed, the sincerity of the moment quickly overwhelmed her. "And immediately, Sage, the addict in me, was like, I don't know what you're talking about. I denied it and denied it and denied it," she continued.

The intervention didn't just involve Eric; it was a family-wide effort that included his wife, Laura Trump, and other close family members, all expressing their concern and love.

Patton vividly remembered the emotional support: "And then I just lost it at that point. I was like, I started crying. Laura Trump was on the phone, you know? She told me how much she loved me. He told me how much he loved me. You know, he was basically like you're a sister to us."

The Trump family's support extended beyond emotional reassurance; they involved her parents and ensured she received the necessary help to overcome her addiction. "You want to make sure that you get the help that you need to get through this. His brother and sister were also extremely supportive about this. You know, never in a million years, they got my parents on the phone. It was, it was a genuine intervention," Patton detailed.

This intervention proved potentially life-saving. Lynne Patton believes that without it, she might have fallen victim to a deadly batch of drugs sold by her dealer, who was later arrested for distributing fentanyl-laced cocaine that resulted in three fatalities in Manhattan.

"I believe with all my heart that they saved my life, because a few years later, my dealer was arrested for fentanyl-laced cocaine that had killed three people in Manhattan. And I look at the cover of The New York Post, and there he is being perp walked. And I was just like, you know, woulda, coulda, shoulda. I mean, that could have been should have been me, if they had not intervened." - Lynne Patton

The profound impact of their intervention not only helped Patton overcome her addiction but also significantly deepened her bond with the Trump family. "I think that brought us so much closer than any job ever could. I owe them everything, and that's why you'll never see me leave this family," she affirmed.

Lynne Patton's story is a testament to the power of intervention, the importance of family and friends in recovery, and the life-altering influence of compassion and support during times of personal crisis.
