A rally by Kamala Harris and Tim Walz caught the attention of social media users on Thursday, Sept. 10 for its bizarre chants, strange behavior and a huge Freudian slip.
The two campaigned in Grand Rapids, MI, as part of a tour of swing states [1] the Democratic ticket needs to win if they are to secure the White House for another four years.
Minnesota Gov. Walz took to the stage first for a strange, longwinded speech which, as predicted, largely focused on attacking Donald Trump. During the speech, Walz prompted a chant of “we’re not eating cats” in response to the recent allegations in Springfield, OH. [2]
He also praised Harris’ political upbringing, although mistakenly called her a “young prostitute-r”.
As Walz’ speech came to a close, the vice presidential nominee cringe-inducingly gesticulated across the stage.
His “prostitute” remarks were highly discussed on X, with many seeing the humor in the Freudian error.
