Donald Trump didn’t miss his opportunity to challenge Kamala Harris in the debate—he was fighting an uphill battle from the beginning. While many anticipated a knockout punch, Trump stood his ground, even as Harris relied heavily on the moderators and media to prop her up, as reported by Townhall.
It was obvious she wasn’t holding her own; instead, she was sheltered from hard-hitting questions and real accountability. Trump wasn’t just up against Harris—he was also battling a media determined to give her an edge.

ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis played the role of defenders for Harris, engaging Trump instead of allowing a fair, direct debate. The Democrat-friendly media machine was in full swing, working overtime to protect Harris from being exposed.

Trump had several chances to expose Harris. Unfortunately, he allowed Harris to get under his skin and push him off-topic.
This was exactly what her camp wanted: to distract Trump from the real issues and avoid discussing her track record on policy.
The worst part? The moderators didn’t even pretend to be fair. MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz admitted that the debate was rigged in Harris’ favor.

Trump was fact-checked five times throughout the night, while Harris wasn’t hit with a single one. To make matters worse, the moderators lobbed ridiculous questions like asking about Harris’ race—a distraction to keep her from addressing her record.

The absolute gall of ABC to keep “fact checking” ONLY Trump while letting her lie in every answer is infuriating.

The debate appeared to favor Harris, with the media seeming to offer her more support and scrutiny directed primarily at Trump.

David Muir is criticizing and attacking Trump more than Kamala is.
Kamala can relax because the ABC "moderators" are handling the debate for her.

Despite the media’s best efforts, Harris couldn’t escape the truth. Her approval ratings on the economy were already in the tank, sitting at a pitiful 37%, and they fell even further after the debate.

The question about race raised eyebrows during the debate, with even figures like Don Lemon commenting on Harris’ racial identity. Harris has faced questions before, including past instances of receiving debate information ahead of time, as seen with Donna Brazile.
The debate left some observers questioning the extent of media involvement and comparing David Muir’s role to that of previous moderators like Candy Crowley.
