In a recent segment on “War Room,” Congressman Cory Mills delivered sharp criticism towards the European Union (EU) and NATO for their handling of the ongoing situation in Ukraine, highlighting financial burdens being placed on the American people.

Mills expressed frustration that the EU, rather than addressing its own issues, is focusing on Ukraine, a country geographically distant from the core of the Union.
Mills pointed out that the EU has $190 billion in frozen Russian assets, from which they are profiting to the tune of $3.5 billion. “Why aren’t we utilizing that funding?” Mills questioned, calling for the EU to take greater responsibility for Ukraine’s defense.
He further emphasized that American taxpayers should not be carrying this financial burden, especially with the nation’s own economic struggles.
“I’ve never voted for a single penny, and I won’t vote for a single penny going there,” Mills declared, adding that the U.S. needs to focus on its own borders, which are “900 miles away,” rather than on a conflict “9,000 miles away.” He argued that the responsibility for Ukraine should lie with the EU, not the United States.
Mills also criticized several NATO members, including Germany, Italy, and France, for failing to meet their 2% GDP funding commitment to the alliance. “You’ve got Germany, Italy, and France who claim they’re so at risk, yet they don’t want to put 2% of their GDP,” he said.
Mills added that Germany, in particular, has supplied malfunctioning tanks, yet still writes it off as part of its NATO contributions.
The congressman was equally critical of the United Nations (UN), referring to it as the “useless nations,” and pointing out its failure to effectively address international crises, including the war in Ukraine. “The UN continues to do nothing,” Mills remarked.

Mills further expressed his concern about the impact of U.S. financial support for Ukraine on American citizens, particularly the middle and lower classes. “We’re drowning our middle class, eliminating the lower class, and we’re continuing to drive inflation,” Mills said.
He emphasized that the Biden-Harris administration’s policies, particularly on fuel prices, have exacerbated the problem. “We don’t have the capabilities to do this,” Mills said, noting that the U.S. national debt is nearing $36 trillion.

In his closing remarks, Mills urged the American people to remain engaged, thanking the grassroots movement for holding the government accountable. “The American people are greater than the DC greed,” he said, encouraging continued pressure on lawmakers to avoid unnecessary spending.

Rep. Mills: Why is the EU bragging about $190B in frozen Russian assets making them $3.5B, but WE’RE funding Ukraine’s war? NATO stands for ‘Now America Takes Over,’ while they refuse to meet their 2% GDP commitments. It’s time to focus on America first—our border, not Ukraine’s.… pic.twitter.com/ji6MN3YSKf [1]
