Former President Donald Trump sparked a bit of a firestorm on Thursday, taking a jab at Vice President Kamala Harris and shining a spotlight on her Indian heritage.
Trump shared a throwback photo from Harris, expressing his appreciation for her Indian roots and the warmth of their past friendship.
This move from Trump ruffled some feathers, especially after his recent comment about Harris’s racial identity.
According to Trump, he was not aware of her being black until a few years ago.
Trump just told the world that KAMALA HARRIS ISN’T BLACK

CNN even did an entire segment on Kamala’s Indian heritage. Watch:

It’s also worth noting that even back in 2016, Business Insider highlighted Harris as the first Indian-American US senator.
The Trump campaign, always quick to embrace irony, proudly displayed the Business Insider headline during a rally on Thursday.
