A woman hailing from San Antonio, Texas, was apprehended in Washington, DC, last Friday for allegedly issuing threats against former President Donald Trump.
This development unfolds in the wake of a failed assassination attempt on July 13 during Trump’s rally.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) received intel about the suspect, identified as Christina Montoya, who had reportedly traveled to the nation’s capital.

Police discovered an unlicensed firearm and a magazine in her possession, as per KENS 5. Interestingly, Trump was reportedly meeting with donors in the Hamptons on the day of Montoya’s arrest.
While the nature of the threats against Trump remains ambiguous, the outlet states, “It’s also unknown the timeline of when she allegedly made them in the context of her Friday arrest, but the police report lists an ‘offense start date’ of July 20, 2024.”
Per the KENS 5 article, “According to a police report, MPD arrested Montoya less than a mile from Capitol Hill and about three miles from the White House. She had the gun and a magazine on her at the time, authorities say.”
