Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, in a recent appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” dropped a bombshell about the assassination attempt on former President Trump in July.
According to Hawley, whistleblowers have shared information about the Secret Service’s lead site agent at the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally where the assassination attempt occurred.
The revelation paints a concerning picture of the Secret Service’s handling of the event. Hawley didn’t hold back, describing the lead site agent as inexperienced, inept, and, in his words, downright incompetent.
🚨 JUST IN: A Secret Service whistleblower has told Sen. @HawleyMO the lead agent at the Butler Trump rally was NOT enforcing normal security protocols nor checking IDs
Hawley described it as a “free-for-all,” and that agent has NOT been fired

“The site agent, the lead agent, was known to the Trump campaign to be inexperienced, to be ineffectual, to be, frankly, incompetent at their job. I’m also told by whistleblowers that on that day, she was not enforcing the normal security protocols. She was not checking people’s IDs. She did not use Secret Service agents. Most of the agents there that day were not Secret Service agents. They were Homeland Security agents.” – Josh Hawley

Hawley emphasized the urgency of the situation, explaining, “Whistleblowers are coming forward from the Secret Service because they can’t believe what leadership is doing. They cannot believe that Secret Service is not taking action to clear out the rot.”
Following his appearance, Hawley sent a stern letter to Secret Service acting director Ronald L. Rowe.
In the letter, Hawley demanded accountability and transparency regarding the lead site agent’s actions and the agency’s overall response to the assassination attempt.
🚨🚨 NEW – Whistleblowers tell me the lead site agent in charge of the Butler rally was known to be inexperienced, ineffective and not up to the job – and on the day failed to implement basic security protocols – yet this person is STILL on active duty. Why? 👇 pic.twitter.com/EhfUSCvnJ0

Hawley called for the immediate suspension of the lead site agent pending a thorough investigation.
