The Minnesota State Fair is buzzing this week, and it’s not just for the fried foods or carnival rides.

Crowds are flocking to a booth that’s making waves with its bold message: “Never Walz.” The booth, set up by the conservative nonprofit Action 4 Liberty MN, has become one of the fair’s hottest attractions.

Visitors eagerly line up to spin a wheel for a chance to win “Never Walz” T-shirts and fans, proudly displaying their disdain for Governor Tim Walz, who recently joined Kamala Harris on the 2024 Democratic presidential ticket, as reported by Fox News.

Erik Mortensen, a former Republican state representative and leader of Action 4 Liberty, expressed the group’s mission clearly: “We’re here to expose the RINOs and Leftists who betray liberty and to mobilize our grassroots army.” Mortensen emphasized that the group’s goal is to train supporters on how to wield their political power effectively.

The “Never Walz” booth is just one of their many efforts to keep Walz accountable, especially after what they see as his overreach during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Minnesota State Fair, which draws nearly 2 million visitors annually, runs through Labor Day weekend. Despite not offering any of the famous fair foods, the “Never Walz” booth has managed to attract longer lines than many of the food vendors.

Mortensen commented on the enthusiasm of fairgoers, noting that people have been searching for the booth all day, eager to show their support for the cause.

Governor Walz, currently serving his second term, has a history that doesn’t sit well with the Action 4 Liberty crowd. Mortensen and his group have been vocal critics, accusing Walz of “destroying” the state through his policies.

They cite his handling of the pandemic, where he implemented lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine requirements, as examples of his alleged power grab.

Back in 2021, the group’s state fair booth focused on their “Never Again” campaign, which aimed to strip the governor of the ability to unilaterally declare emergencies.

Walz’s recent move onto the national stage hasn’t softened his critics. Mortensen called him a “thin-skinned, power-drunk tyrant,” accusing him of violating the liberties of Minnesotans.

As videos of the “Never Walz” booth spread on social media, the response has been overwhelmingly positive from supporters, many of whom share Mortensen’s frustration with Walz’s policies.

Walz, who recently accepted the Democratic nomination as Harris’s running mate, has tried to appeal to voters with his Midwestern roots and military service.

However, Mortensen dismissed these efforts as just another example of Walz’s “shapeshifting” tendencies, accusing him of changing his image to suit his political ambitions.

While Walz touts his service in the Army National Guard and his small-town upbringing, Action 4 Liberty remains focused on what they see as his true legacy: a governor who has overstepped his bounds and compromised the freedoms of his constituents.
