Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly caused a stir within the Democratic Party’s vice-presidential selection process on Sunday when he briefly posted [1] and then removed a social media update suggesting a shift in focus towards “serving Arizonans.”
The tweet that hinted at a potential withdrawal from consideration as the running mate of presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris mysteriously disappeared.
Kelly’s subsequent tweet took a more general approach, emphasizing service to the country.

Kelly is one of several candidates being considered for the Democratic ticket alongside Vice President Harris in the upcoming election against former President Donald Trump and Ohio Sen. JD Vance.
He was reportedly [5] scheduled to be interviewed by Harris at her Washington, DC, residence on Sunday.
Other Democrats in the speculation mix for Harris’s running mate include Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
