Throughout the assault, the assailant held a bundle of clothes in one hand.
After the attack, the perpetrator briefly walks out of sight but returns moments later through the laundromat’s front door.
The victim, a 47-year-old homeless man identified by sources, staggered around the laundromat covered in blood.
At one point, he threw a chair at the front door in an attempt to escape the scene. He was rushed to Lincoln Hospital by responding officers and was listed in stable condition.
The footage does not capture the attack on the second victim, who was stabbed in the legs and torso. He was later pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital. Authorities have not yet identified this second victim.
The NYPD confirmed that there have been no arrests in connection with the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
