The alleged unity and enthusiasm that once thrived within the Democrat party reportedly have given way to disunity and turmoil behind closed doors.

The cause of this disunity is none other than Kamala Harris’s choice for a running mate, a decision that now involves factions from both the moderate and far-left wings of the party.

As the Harris campaign braces for the worst, behind-the-scenes negative politics has crept into the mix, with many Democrats suggesting that Harris must go for a more moderate candidate as a running mate, while the far left appears to have other ideas.

The radicals prefer Gov. Tim Walz (MN) over Gov. Josh Shapiro (PA), who is seen as being pro-Israel, but the safer picks appear to be Sen. Mark Kelly (AZ) or Gov. Andy Beshear (KY), who are more likely to be accepted by the base.

Harris needs to announce her decision by Wednesday, but the concern remains that one corner of the party will have to acquiesce to the decision, raising concern about further “fissures,” according to the New York Times.

Meanwhile, the left wing is becoming more adamant that Harris must carry its radical agenda into the general election, adding further division within the party.

However, the Harris campaign has made it clear that it will try and placate both sides of the party, though it remains uncertain if consensus can be reached on the plethora of radical issues the left insists Harris must champion.

These policies include making abortion a federal issue, banning fracking, continuing the so-called war against American energy, increasing red tape by further empowering the administrative state, sympathizing with pro-Hamas protesters against Israel, enacting socialized medicine, expanding taxpayer-funded housing, making college free, and doubling down on Bidenomics.
