The latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s administration reveals a stark disparity in job opportunities between native-born Americans and foreign-born workers.
In July, 1.2 million fewer Americans were employed compared to the previous year, while 1.3 million more foreign-born workers found employment, indicating a trend where job growth is predominantly benefiting newly arrived migrants.
Heritage Foundation economist E.J. Antoni pointed out the concerning fact that job growth under Biden and Harris has largely favored foreign-born workers, a category that includes illegal aliens, as admitted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Employment of native-born Americans is not only millions below its pre-pandemic trend, but is 208k below its pre-pandemic level, while foreign-born employment has risen 3.9 million over the last 5 years and back on its pre-pandemic trend; Americans have been left behind… pic.twitter.com/d6NGZjvSmE

This trend has been ongoing, with data from the Center for Immigration Studies showing that about 75 percent of job growth in the United States over the past few years has gone to foreign-born workers, while labor force participation for American working-class men continues to decline.

Antoni expressed apprehension over the situation, stating that the American labor market appears to have become a hub for foreign workers under the current administration at the expense of American workers losing job opportunities.
Annually, the U.S. welcomes more than one million legal immigrants on green cards, primarily due to family connections, along with a million individuals arriving on temporary work visas.
Moreover, there has been a significant influx of migrants through the U.S.-Mexico border since Biden and Harris took office.
