In Indianapolis, an armed man, Gavin Dasaur, 29, was shot dead during a suspected road rage incident.

Footage shared on social media shows Dasaur approaching a white Chevy pickup truck and attempting to punch the driver while holding what appears to be a handgun.

The driver fired multiple shots at Dasaur, who fell to the ground.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that the shooting occurred near the intersection of South Emerson Avenue and Thompson Road at around 8:15 p.m.

Witnesses stated that the shooting was a result of a road rage incident between the Chevy driver and Dasaur, who was driving a black Honda.

The driver of the pickup truck was initially detained but later released as investigators found that the driver may have acted in self-defense.

Cinthya ZaMora, Dasaur's wife, condemned the shooting and mourned her husband's death, stating that he was a hardworking man who did not deserve to die in such a manner.
