In Harrisburg, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo has made a decisive ruling regarding the shooting incident involving Paul M. Kattouf.

Following a thorough investigation by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, it has been determined that no criminal charges will be filed in connection with Kattouf's death.

The incident, which took place in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, unfolded as a family was on their way to drop off the boyfriend for work. Little did they know that their journey would take a deadly turn when they encountered Paul Kattouf.

Kattouf, in a fit of road rage, began harassing the family as they were driving.

Things escalated when Kattouf unleashed pepper spray on the pregnant driver, with her boyfriend riding shotgun and a child in the back seat.

In a few quick moments of self-defense, the boyfriend in the family vehicle grabbed the firearm from his girlfriend while she was dealing with the pepper spray and made a split-second decision to protect his loved ones. He fired a single shot at Kattouf, resulting in his death.

The District Attorney, in his assessment of the situation, emphasized that under Pennsylvania law, the actions taken by the passenger to safeguard his family were well within the bounds of self-protection and defense of others. In the heat of the moment, there was simply no time for deliberation as danger loomed large.
