Disturbing footage circulating on social media shows angry gangs attacking a police car, shattering its windows and pelting it with objects. In a shocking display of disregard for law and order, rioters even flipped the vehicle, leaving officers trapped inside.

But the violence didn't stop there. Locals captured footage of a double-decker bus being set ablaze, further escalating the situation.

Police, who had returned to the area after the bus was torched, were left with no choice but to flee for their own safety, according to witnesses.

Harehills, known for its affordable housing, is home to a large immigrant population, primarily of Pakistani origin. The area exhibits significant cultural and ethnic diversity, but unfortunately, it has also experienced racial tensions and violent incidents in the past.
