An infographic shared on social media platform X has prompted widespread debate after revealing illegal immigrants outnumbered American births for the first time ever under Joe Biden’s administration.
The data shows a notable increase in arrivals of illegal newcomers [1] since Biden took office in January 2021.
The COVID-19 pandemic saw a drop in unlawful crossings [2] which stood at around 70,000 per month before travel restrictions were heavily enforced worldwide. After a prolonged dip, this figure rose back up to 70,000 when then-President Donald Trump left the White House.
Since taking office, Biden – along with border czar [3] Vice President Kamala Harris – have overseen large volumes of illegal aliens enter the United States.
