Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac has agreed to a five-year, $84 million contract extension, according to ESPN. The deal will keep the New York native with the Magic through the 2028-29 NBA season.

Isaac played in 58 games during the 2023-24 season, marking his most extensive action since the 2018-19 season, and received consideration for the NBA 6th Man of the Year Award.

Here's What They're Not Telling You About Your Retirement

Isaac made headlines in 2020 when he stood for the national anthem while his colleagues knelt in protest during the wake of  George Floyd's death. On "Gaines for Girls," a podcast, Isaac described offering a different solution after witnessing Floyd’s tragedy. When he listened to the Black Lives Matter organization and movement, Isaac became uncomfortable and disagreed with their tone and rhetoric.
