MSNBC’s Morning Joe host, Joe Scarborough, recently shared his thoughts on whether Joe Biden should continue his bid for re-election following what he said eight days ago. Scarborough emphasized the importance of allowing the President ample time to make a well-considered decision, suggesting that the decision-making period is not immediate but approaching.
“I said eight days ago that the President needed to consider getting out, said that we needed to give it time. Needed to see what was going to happen. And I think we’re still there,” Scarborough remarked. He highlighted the necessity of waiting and observing the developments before jumping to conclusions.

Scarborough underscored the significance of the current week, mentioning that it will bring additional polls, interviews, and events, including a NATO summit. These factors, he believes, will provide more information that could influence the President’s decision.
“It is July the fifth. This happened eight days ago, and decision time is not upon us yet, and though it may be coming soon, I think we should first honor a man who was first on the ballot 54 years ago by giving him the time and the space to make his decision before we tell him that we’ve made ours,” Scarborough stated, calling for patience and respect.
Joe Scarborough, a few months ago: Biden is better than he’s ever been.
Joe Scarborough, post-debate: Thank God it’s June, we have time to replace him. This is the last chance.
Joe Scarborough, now: Everyone slow down, it’s only July. There is plenty of time.
