Santiago and Wall Township Police Chief Sean O’Halloran on Thursday.

Rizzitello, a 36-year-old who recently handed in her resignation, now faces two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault, third-degree Witness Tampering, and three counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact.

Here's What They're Not Telling You About Your Retirement

After a diligent investigation led by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau and Wall Township Police Department, with some help from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Brick Township Police Department, it was discovered that Rizzitello’s alleged wrongdoing began earlier this year. The investigation revealed that she engaged in various sexual acts with the victim on multiple occasions in Belmar, Brick, and Wall.

The collaborative efforts of law enforcement resulted in charges being filed in both Monmouth (for the Belmar and Wall offenses) and Ocean (for the Brick offenses) counties. Rizzitello was apprehended without any fuss and is currently cooling her heels at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) as she awaits a detention hearing at Monmouth County Superior Court.
