KJP Doubles Down On ‘Threat To Democracy’ Rhetoric After Trump Assassination Attempt [VIDEOS]

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre evaded questions on Monday about whether President Joe Biden harbors any regrets over his previous aggressive rhetoric against former President Donald Trump.

In the aftermath of the recent failed assassination attempt on Trump, vocal critics, including Trump’s new running mate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), have hinted at the possibility that Biden’s incessant claims portraying the former president as a threat to democracy could have emboldened the assailant, Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Despite ongoing investigations, law enforcement officials have refrained from attributing a specific motive to the attempted attack on Trump’s life.

During Monday’s press briefing, Jean-Pierre emphasized the importance of denouncing violence unequivocally at all times, maintaining that the administration aims to steer clear of political exploitation of the situation.

Addressing reporters, Jean-Pierre remarked, “There are policy disparities between us and the Republican camp, which is normal. It’s permissible to evaluate someone’s actions against their character. However, endorsing violence is off the table. Thus, the president will persist in highlighting his agenda.”

Following the incident, Biden delivered a televised address from the Oval Office on Sunday night [6], urging individuals from various political affiliations to tone down the heated discourse surrounding national politics.
