‘I Was Drunk’: Country Star Apologizes After Viral MLB National Anthem [VIDEO]

Grammy-nominated country singer Ingrid Andress has apologized [1] for her drunken national anthem rendition on Monday night at the 2024 Home Run Derby that has gone viral, writing in an Instagram post, “I’m not gonna b——- y’all, I was drunk last night.”

The “More Hearts Than Mine” singer pledged to get the help she needs and promised fans: “I’ll let y’all know how rehab is I hear it’s super fun.”

Andress said that the version of the “Star-Spangled Banner” she sang was “not me last night,” and apologized to Major League Baseball (MLB), the fans, and the country, saying, “I apologize to MLB, all the fans, and this country I love so much for that rendition.”

It is not clear where Andress will seek treatment or if future appearances will be impacted.

Her website [8] lists her next two shows, slated for the Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 3, and the Country Calling festival in Ocean City, Maryland on October 4.
