The Chicago Sky fell to the Seattle Storm on Sunday in a 84-71 loss, however, it was an awkward moment from the Sky's postgame press conference that has drawn the most attention.
During the interview, a reporter's unmuted mic played audio from "The Big Bang Theory," where Sheldon Cooper discussed an "intimate relationship."
Reese, her teammate Marina Mabrey, and Chicago head coach Teresa Weatherspoon were initially confused and then stunned by the unexpected interruption.
You can see the interview below.
Super weird moment during the #ChicagoSky postgame presser. A reporter was asking Angel Reese a question when another conversation about an "intimate relationship" being had (presumably from another reporter's Zoom) commandeered the audio. Reese: "somebody getting fired". 😬 pic.twitter.com/HxUtVuQbXI

Reese appeared to mouth the words, "somebody's getting fired" in response to the mishap.
According to the Chicago Tribune's Julia Poe, the sound came from a live audio feed of a scene from "The Big Bang Theory" on WGN, mistakenly left unmuted.
As for the game itself, despite the final outcome the score was close for much of the game before the Storm pulled away in the end. Reese finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds in 40 minutes, setting a WNBA record with her 14th consecutive double-double.
