A standout player known for his time with the Baltimore Ravens, Jones made a lasting impact during his nine-season career in the NFL.
Originally drafted in the third round from Lane College in 2007, he showcased his exceptional skills not only as a quality receiver but also as a dynamic return specialist, setting franchise records in punt return yards, touchdowns, and all-purpose yards.
While with the Texans, Jones displayed his versatility on the field, amassing 203 catches for 2,733 yards and 14 touchdown receptions.
His contributions extended beyond Houston as he also played for the Ravens, Steelers, and Chargers before retiring from the league in 2017.
Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, Jones soared to new heights with the Ravens, playing a pivotal role in their Super Bowl XLVII victory against the San Francisco 49ers in 2013. His historic 109-yard kickoff return for a touchdown remains unmatched as the longest play in Super Bowl history.

Jones also made a memorable impact during the game by catching a 56-yard touchdown pass from Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco, solidifying his place in NFL history as the first player to achieve both a receiving touchdown and a scoring return in the same Super Bowl.
Throughout his career, Jones showcased his exceptional talent, concluding with impressive stats of 203 receptions for 2,733 yards and 14 touchdowns. His impact on special teams was equally remarkable, recording 7,628 return yards and nine touchdowns.
Beyond the gridiron, Jones captivated audiences with his charm and agility on the dance floor, earning recognition as a finalist on the popular television show “Dancing with the Stars” during season 16.
As news of Jones’ passing spread, former teammates, coaches, and rivals expressed their heartfelt condolences on social media.
Jacoby was one of the most fun-loving teammates and people I’ve ever been around. Always dancing and laughing, with a permanent smile on his face.
Gone far, far too soon.

And no idea why he died… right…
We all know. The Jab or the Porous Non-Border killed him.
Despite giving no reason for his passing, I notice the words “died suddenly” are missing. Because that oughta throw people off the scent, amirite?
Jacoby Jones got the jibityjabity, 100%
Did I miss the cause of death, or are they hiding it? Notice they don’t even address the fact that they aren’t telling the cause? Like that isn’t weird at all?
Nothing to see here move along its perfectly normal for a 40 yo pro athlete to die in his sleep decades before his time
