Sun, one of the former deputy chiefs of staff for Governor Kathy Hochul, saw her five-bedroom property raided and searched by the federal agency.

The plush home, situated in the upscale gated community of Manhasset, remains at the center of the investigation, with the reasons behind the sudden predawn raid currently unclear.

Reports suggest that neither Sun, 40, nor her husband, Chris Hu, 41, face any charges or accusations of misconduct.

No arrests were made, and the authorities are yet to offer any clarity on the reasons motivating the raid.

The search warrant was obtained by the US Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, according to sources.

The couple had owned the property until recently, with property records indicating that they transferred ownership to a trust in March.

Sun has worked in various government roles across New York State during her 15-year-long career, serving both Hochul and former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administrations.

Her LinkedIn profile highlights her role in promoting business development, Asian American affairs, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Linda Sun’s husband, Chris Hu, runs a liquor store in Queens and has incorporated diverse businesses over the last decade, including a medical supplies firm amid the COVID pandemic.

The sweeping pre-dawn FBI raid leaves the couple’s future decidedly uncertain, and the wider implications of this development are yet to come to light.
