FBI Looking To Interview Donald Trump About The Assassination Attempt [VIDEO]

The FBI is reportedly [1] seeking to interview former President Trump in connection with an assassination attempt on his life.

The probe is part of their investigation into Thomas Matthew Crooks, the gunman responsible for the attempt.

A federal law enforcement source confirmed that agents are pursuing a victim impact statement from the former President—a typical step in such cases, as reported by Fox News [1].

On July 13, Crooks ascended a building overlooking Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

He managed to evade law enforcement on the ground, pointed his firearm at a police officer on the rooftop, and then proceeded to open fire.

The attack claimed the life of 50-year-old Corey Comperatore and left David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, severely injured.

Trump recounted being shot in the right ear, and images from the scene depicted him with blood on the right side of his head.

The FBI is still delving into Crooks’ motivations, with FBI Director Christopher Wray disclosing some insights during his testimony on Capitol Hill.

He highlighted that Crooks had shown interest in historical presidential assassinations and had queried Google about the distance between Oswald and Kennedy on the same day he registered for the rally.

Emphasizing the significance of the investigation, an FBI spokesperson reiterated that the shooting constituted an attempted assassination on Trump and led to his injury, along with the death of a father and injuries to other victims.

Additionally, the FBI’s Shooting Reconstruction Team continues to examine evidence from the scene, including bullet fragments, as the investigation progresses.
