CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings did not hold back in his criticism of Democratic Party governors who continue to support Joe Biden despite widespread concerns about his mental fitness. Speaking on “Laura Coates Live,” Jennings didn’t mince words as he accused these governors of being “complicit” in what he called the “biggest cover-up.”
Jennings took aim at the Democratic leaders who rallied around Biden following his lackluster debate performance, dismissing their closed-door assurances about Biden’s capabilities. “Once again, behind closed doors, Joe Biden rides unicycles and juggles knives — he looks real good behind closed doors!” Jennings remarked, dripping with sarcasm. “These governors are now participants in the biggest cover-up in American political history.”
Jennings declared, “The condition of Joe Biden has been hidden from us for three-and-a-half years, now these governors are complicit in it. We all saw with our own eyes Thursday night. We don’t need governors to tell us behind closed doors he’s fine. I saw what I saw, and so did every other American.”
When addressing the Trump campaign’s handling of the situation, Jennings commended their strategy of remaining silent, asserting, “They’re doing exactly what they need to do, which is nothing.” He praised Trump’s campaign as the best-run and managed, emphasizing the significant momentum they have gained in recent weeks.
Jennings didn’t shy away from critiquing the Biden family either, pointing out the apparent disconnect between their perception and reality. “Most Democrats seem to know that, the only people that don’t know it are the Biden family,” Jennings remarked wryly. Referencing Jill Biden’s appearance on Vogue and Hunter Biden’s rumored involvement in White House meetings, he quipped, “You’re gonna have to drag these people out of the White House by the fingernails.”
In a different part of the CNN segment, Jennings said, “We are seeing the Col. Sanderization of American politics. Biden’s face is on the bucket but he ain’t making the chicken.” Watch:

Despite growing concerns over Biden’s mental fitness, Democratic governors such as New York’s Kathy Hochul, Maryland’s Wes Moore, and Minnesota’s Tim Walz continue to stand by him. While acknowledging Biden’s “bad performance” in the debate, they maintain their support for him as the party’s nominee.
