As the protests escalated, over 200 New York City Police Department officers were dispatched to assist the dwindling U.S. Capitol Police force.

The chaotic scene prompted Capitol Police to describe the events as ‘violent,’ leading to the deployment of pepper spray to maintain control.

Five people in the House Gallery just disrupted the Address during the Joint Meeting. All of them were immediately removed from the Gallery and arrested. Disrupting the Congress and demonstrating in the Congressional Buildings is against the law.

Amidst the chaos, reports emerged of protestors infiltrating the hotel where Netanyahu was staying, leaving maggots and insects strewn about the premises.

Despite these disruptions, Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Joe Biden, Vice President Harris, and former President Donald Trump during his trip to the United States.
