Dave Portnoy, the owner and founder of Barstool Sports found himself in a perilous situation off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts, on Monday.
Portnoy shared the details of his harrowing ordeal in a candid TikTok video, disclosing that he had unhooked his boat from buoys before heavy winds unexpectedly propelled him into the open sea, leaving his engine unresponsive.

Fortunately, another boater spotted Portnoy's distress and promptly alerted the Coast Guard, which initiated a rescue mission.
The Coast Guard rescuers successfully towed Portnoy's boat back to its mooring.

Expressing his appreciation for the four Coast Guard personnel who aided in his rescue, Portnoy humorously mused, "Captain Dave lives to tell another tale. Third time as captain, already lost at sea. It's a dangerous game, the sea's angry, my friends."
After also posting the video to a different social media platform, X (Twitter), the Coast Guard sent a message to Portnoy's cherished pit bull, Miss Peaches, saying, "Any time, Dave. Tell Miss Peaches we love her," accompanied with smiling emojis.
