A 23-year-old man, Kyle Eugene Berry, from Xenia, Ohio, was indicted this week by a Greene County grand jury on two counts of felonious assault, as reported by WDTNTV.

The indictment follows an incident where Berry was shot and wounded by Xenia police officers last month.

The police also released video footage showing Berry firing a handgun at an apartment complex, along with dash camera and body camera footage capturing the officers' response.
The officers reportedly instructed Berry to drop his weapon before the officer-involved shooting occurred.
The incident took place on June 30 at an apartment complex in the 100 block of South Orange Street in Xenia.

Police were responding to reports of a man shooting a gun at the complex, with additional reports of a man pointing a gun at the apartment complex manager.
Two officers at the scene observed Berry pointing a handgun at them, leading to them firing at him. The officers, who have not been identified, have been placed on administrative leave.
A total of six Xenia police officers and several Greene County Sheriff’s deputies were involved in the response.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is conducting the criminal investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact BCI at 855-224-6446.
Berry is currently being held at the Greene County Jail on $500,000 bail and will face arraignment on the charges soon.
