Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 received an alert shortly after midnight regarding a shooting at a residence in Trigg County.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office had called on KSP to handle the investigation.
Preliminary findings unveiled that a male intruder armed with a weapon had forcibly entered a residence on Linda Lane.

Upon breaking into a room, the homeowner defended themselves by shooting the intruder, resulting in his demise at the scene.
Authorities have ascertained that this was an isolated event with no threat to the public.

The matter is being pursued by Detective Nate Moore as the investigation continues.
