In a concerning development, federal authorities apprehended another migrant from Turkey who was also suspected of having connections to terror groups.
All of these migrants were part of a larger group who surrendered themselves to border agents in the San Diego sector.
An ongoing investigation into the migrants is underway, with the group being transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further processing.
The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force has been called in to delve deeper into their potential security threats.

The gaps in information sharing were highlighted by an anonymous border agent who expressed regret over the vulnerability of the border, lamenting, “I wanted to get into Border Patrol and protect from terrorists. And it’s like, well, I probably let terrorists in the country.”
