Two high school business teachers at Joseph Craig High School in Janesville, Wisconsin, resigned after district officials discovered they had allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with a student. The teachers, Alexsia Saldaris, a first-year instructor, and Jennifer Larson, an 11-year instructor, left their positions in April following the findings of an investigation by school officials.
The investigation uncovered that both teachers had sent inappropriate messages to an unidentified male student via Snapchat. Saldaris admitted to sending revealing photos, while Larson confessed to sending messages about “cuddling, flirting, and the implication of alcohol.”

The inappropriate conduct is reported to have occurred during a school trip from April 7 to 9. During this period, the teachers sent the student messages indicating a desire to “cuddle” and “have fun” with him and even suggested involving another student. In a particularly troubling incident, Saldaris gave the student the keys to a district van, allowing him to drive around the parking lot. While changing her shoes in the back of the vehicle, Saldaris and the student allegedly shared “a half kiss,” as per the report.
On April 9, Saldaris reportedly sent the student five photos of herself in her underwear and lingerie and texts discussing plans to meet over the weekend. A social media post to X allegedly shows photos of each of the teachers involved:

The situation intensified when Larson reported Saldaris to the administration for allowing the student to drive the van. On the same morning, Saldaris texted the student, stating that their interactions needed to stop, to which he agreed.
On April 11, a teacher reported seeing a group of boys laughing at photos on a phone, which they believed were the pictures of Saldaris in her underwear. The district subsequently placed both teachers on administrative leave on April 12, and ten days later, the school board accepted their resignations.
Larson, who also served as the school advisor for the Wisconsin DCEA program, admitted to telling a male student that a girl he was seeing wasn’t “good enough” for him.
The Janesville Police Department is investigating whether any laws were broken and whether criminal charges should be pursued.
