The BJP and CPI(M) have accused a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader of brutally beating a woman and a man with sticks in the community development block of Chopra in Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal.
According to reports, people witnessed the incident, and some even participated in "punishing" the victims. BJP's Amit Malviya shared a video of the incident, which raises concerns about the safety of women under the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal.
