According to authorities, a Houston local claimed self-defense after a fatal shooting of two women and a man who forcibly entered his home. The Houston Police Department responded to a distress call from an apartment in the 10500 block, revealing a grim scene where a resident had allegedly shot and killed three individuals—two women and a man—who were said to have forcibly entered his home with ill intent.
Assistant Police Chief Wyatt Martin detailed the sequence of events during a news briefing, confirming the resident's claim of acting in self-defense. The resident, who promptly surrendered to police upon their arrival, stated that he had confronted intruders in his apartment and resorted to using a firearm in response to the threat posed.
While the identities of the deceased individuals had not been disclosed by authorities at the time of the briefing, Martin indicated that there was no apparent prior connection established between the resident and the intruders. Investigations were ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the fatal altercation as police examined the scene for corroborating evidence.

Despite the resident's assertion of self-defense, Martin emphasized that the incident would be treated with the same scrutiny and protocol as any other fatal shooting investigation. Past police responses to the same apartment were cited, hinting at potential prior incidents that may shed light on the complexities surrounding the case.
"As in any situation like this when someone loses their life, we will process him, take him downtown, take statements from him, document everything that has happened here and talk to any witnesses that we can find."

Well, were they ( the three ) armed ? I think the ” home owner ” might as well turn in his apartment keys and the apartment manager might as well call in the ” clean up ” folks that clean up crime scenes for a living.
