Popular for his role as Scotty Smalls in the iconic movie "The Sandlot," Thomas Guiry found himself in a troubling situation, landing him in a Horry County jail cell earlier this month, as per official records.
Law enforcement responded to a disturbance call at Winslow Avenue near the Burgess area, where Guiry was confronted by officers. It was evident that things had taken a violent turn when his neighbor expressed frustration at finding their window shattered, leading to a tense exchange.
According to the accompanying police report, Guiry apparently confessed to causing damage to a Jeep's windshield by using a hefty 35-pound dumbbell weight, while offering to make amends by promising, "That sucks, man, I'll pay you back, I'm sorry, I'm gonna get you back."

Adding to the intensity of the situation, the neighbor recounted that Guiry had brandished a knife while repeatedly ringing the doorbell and approaching their door. This series of events culminated in Guiry facing charges of third-degree assault and battery, as well as malicious injury to personal property.
Following his detainment, Guiry managed to secure his release from custody after posting a $1,000 bond. This incident highlights a far cry from the lightheartedness associated with his on-screen persona, underscoring the reality that public figures are not immune to untoward incidents.
While the specifics of the incident may be deemed disappointing by fans, it serves as a reminder that individuals must be held accountable for their actions, irrespective of their celebrity status or past roles.
