A 27-year-old man from Oxnard was shot by an Oxnard police officer on Sunday evening, as he reportedly didn't comply with officers' commands. The incident allegedly occurred after the man was seen walking in traffic with a sharp object in the area of Ventura Road and Doris Avenue. According to the Oxnard Police Department, the man had an outstanding arrest warrant for attempted murder in connection with an earlier stabbing incident.

The police arrived at the scene after receiving multiple calls about the man's presence and behavior. Officers identified him as an Oxnard resident and tried to approach him, but he didn't comply with their commands. As a result, an officer-involved shooting occurred.

After the shooting, officers and emergency medical personnel provided medical aid, and the man was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center. Thankfully, he is now considered to be in stable condition, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
