At 9:36 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a call reporting a possible robbery at the Tustin Field 1 residential community, a development situated on a former military base in Orange County. Upon arrival, police found the victim, a Secret Service agent, who had his bag stolen at gunpoint. According to the police report, a shootout ensued between the agent and the alleged robber.
