Sean Parnell, in a recent segment, expressed his frustration with the overwhelming presence of Pride Month displays during a routine shopping trip. Parnell, who took his family to outlet stores for summer clothes and a speaking event, was taken aback by the omnipresent rainbow-themed promotions.
"Pride Month is this month, and believe me, these garbage libs made sure that I knew it," Parnell said. "We went on a shopping trip, and every single store, no exaggeration, had some rainbow display right out front. Whether it was American Eagle, Aerie, Under Armour, or Brooks Brothers, you couldn't escape it."
Parnell, a self-described libertarian in some ways, emphasized his belief in personal freedom but drew a firm line when it comes to involving children in what he views as a political agenda. "This is America. You live your life the way you want. Who the hell am I to judge? But when you start involving children and exposing them to what is an agenda, I draw the line. That's what this Pride stuff is about—your preference. I don't care. Why does our government, along with all of these corporations, feel the need to throw it in our faces all the time?"

He extended his critique to the military, highlighting the recent display by the United States Navy Special Warfare Command. "Look at this from the United States Navy Special Warfare Command, Navy SEALs in 2024," Parnell exclaimed. "It's basically a rainbow-themed emblem. I fail to see how this makes us a more lethal force. It actually makes it more likely that people get hurt on the battlefield."

Parnell pointed out the disparity in recognition between Pride Month and Memorial Day. "Pride Month gets a whole month, while those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country get one single day on Memorial Day. Veterans, the heroes who saved the world, get one day. Yet the LGBTQ community gets a whole freaking month."
He further illustrated his point by listing numerous LGBTQ awareness days and months. "I Googled LGBTQ important dates, and it's insane. February has Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week, March has Bisexual Health Awareness Month, March 31st is International Transgender Day of Visibility, and the list goes on. How many days do these people need? How many sexes are there? This is crazy."
